This organization exists to establish unity in the Brooklyn College Speech-Language Pathology Master's Program. This is accomplished by advocating for fellow students and organizing clinical, educational, fundraising, and social events such as our annual Meet and Greet at the start of each fall semester. Additionally, GSO is responsible for planning the departmental graduation ceremony, which takes place in the Student Center at the end of May.

The inclusive and continuously evolving art form of American Musical Theatre has yet to become fully embraced or supported at Brooklyn College; even amongst the advanced performance curriculums within any Theater Department or Conservatory of Music across The City University of New York. Our group’s efforts aim to foster change in these curricula and promote interdepartmental collaboration to guarantee a future for this important program and ensure that our students can receive this informative experience while pursuing their studies at Brooklyn College.

The Brooklyn College Musical Theatre Collective’s mission is to provide performance and leadership opportunities to the students, alumni, and neighboring community of Brooklyn College through the exploration of the inclusive and accessible, yet neglected art form of American Musical Theatre.
