Looking for the best way to stay up to date on all the latest accounting news on campus? Join the Brooklyn College Accounting Society! As one of the largest accounting clubs on campus, the Accounting Society provides students with knowledge of accounting opportunities and upcoming presentations and events by firms such as PwC, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and CPA review companies.



The Accounting Society also hosts social gatherings throughout the semester where individuals will have the opportunity to meet other students and professionals who share their career interest.

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at Brooklyn College is part of the National AMSA network. We promote awareness, education, and access of information for college students that aspire to be doctors of allopathic medicine, doctors of osteopathic medicine, dentistry, nurses, and physician assistants. Furthermore, our organization provides opportunities and resources for students to network with professionals in the health fields, graduate health programs, and internship programs. We offer programming that brings this information to the campus and advocate for health care initiatives.

AMWA understands that the best medical and health practitioners come from different walks of life. Therefore our mission is to support and nurture the diverse population at Brooklyn College's pre-medical and pre-health students. AMWA encourages gender equality in the medical and health professions by providing equal opportunities to students pursuing medical/health careers. While other organizations do offer resources to help build an impressive academic resume; AMWA will help its members develop leadership, networking, time management, and other professional skills to help them be the best medical and health practitioners they can be. We plan to do so by supplementing the academic growth of our members with the following: voluntary clinical research, community outreach, hospital volunteering outreach, academic discussion panels, networking opportunities and mentoring programs.

The BC Anthropology Club provides an all-inclusive safe space to assume a holistic perspective on social issues and facilitate conversations that are necessary for change on a broader scale. Our main objective is to deepen understanding and appreciation of classical literature, art, history, and philosophy. We want to foster a community where participants can have deep conversations about, analyses of, and interpretations of classical works regardless of background. The Classical Society is dedicated to welcoming people with various experiences and backgrounds. Regardless of one's prior exposure to classical studies, we work to create a space where everyone feels valued and heard. By giving members the chance to investigate a variety of classical texts and disciplines, we hope to encourage a lifelong love of learning. We seek to equip our members with knowledge and critical thinking abilities through reading groups, lectures, and workshops.

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is one of the Koppelman School of Business's leading pre-professional organizations within Brooklyn College. We aim to cultivate dynamic leaders, inspire initiative in on-campus activities, and develop a robust and unified community among Koppelman School of Business (KSB) students. As members of the SLC, students act as ambassadors of the KSB and serve as the primary liaison between the business students and the KSB Dean.

Brooklyn College Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (BC MAPS) The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) is an organization that strives to provide knowledge, skills, and experience to students who have aspirations of entering the health field. These goals will be achieved through the partnership of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. The overall goals of MAPS are: To serve the health needs of underrepresented communities To educate people about the importance of health matters To ensure cultural sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population To facilitate mentoring opportunities between medical professionals and premedical students To assist students in preparing to matriculate into their chosen medical or health associated professional school MAPS is a program sponsored by the Student National Medical Association. SNMA is the oldest and largest medical student organization dedicated to underrepresented or underprivileged pre-health students and underserved communities. Committed to increasing the number of culturally capable and sensitive physicians, the SNMA is also dedicated to the academic and clinical success of medical students and pre-health students. Through signature programs such as MAPS among many others, the SNMA members work with youth from elementary school to college introducing them to science and serving as mentors. In this way, the SNMA strengthens the educational pipeline that leads from elementary school to professional school. MAPS members will have access to community service, networking, mentorship, and clinical skill-developing opportunities.

We are an established local chapter on campus of NSSLHA, the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association. There isn’t enough conversation happening amongst us on important topics, but we're here to fix that through civil discourse, disagreement, and free food. While members are allowed to believe in whatever they want, the Philosophy Society itself does not endorse or take sides. It exists solely as a neutral platform for members to discuss issues that they are interested in.
