Student Activities, Involvement and Leadership Center

Brooklyn College recognizes the importance of supporting our students' activities and providing them with proper advisement, program development, and personal and academic growth opportunities. We continue to focus on these core values while looking for new opportunities to provide programming, mentoring, and education.

Civic Engagement & Social Responsibility strives to create and provide volunteer opportunities for students to contribute positively to the quality of life on campus and in the larger community. Brooklyn College aims to build our students' strong sense of self and confidence in their leadership ability and establish long-lasting relationships so they may become active and engaged students at the College, the greater NYC, and the larger global community through participation in workshops, retreats, coaching, conferences, and mentoring.

Student Diversity Initiatives promote and encourage cross-cultural understanding and personal development by providing access to multicultural information, activities, and programs that involve intentional interaction, integration, and appreciation of an all-inclusive institution. Orientation Programs provide students with college policies and procedures and information on accessing resources at Brooklyn College. They help incoming students build support networks while providing opportunities and information that foster a sense of belonging at Brooklyn College.
