Steps for Starting a New Club

    Submit a New Club Registration Form

    Email studentact@brooklyn.cuny.edu with your club's purpose to verify that a similar club does not already exist.

    Create a Club Constitution using the sample provided by S.A.I.L

    Recruit four (4) matriculated students to be on the E-Board for the year.

    After confirmation from S.A.I.L, Log into Bulldog Connection.

    Navigate to Groups

    Click on +All Groups

    Select the category that best fits your club's focus (e.g., Health and Wellness)

    Provide details about the club, its executive board, and upload a constitution. (Email studentact@brooklyn.cuny.edu for a sample constitution)

    Student Government Review and Petitioning Process

    Because the Club is new, Student Government (USG/GSO) will review the constitution. The petitioning process will begin simultaneously.

    For the petitioning process, the SAIL Center will provide details on obtaining digital signatures (25 signatures for Undergraduate and Graduate clubs) for your petition via Bulldog Connection. (printed petitions are no longer accepted).

    Complete SPARC Training

    New E-Board members will be uploaded to SPARC after completing the previous steps.

    Once Training is complete, the club president must submit all SPARC certificates to studentact@brooklyn.cuny.edu

    Attend Club Training

    It is mandatory for the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary to attend at least one club training. As of Spring 2026, the club training will be held online via Brightspace. After you submit, we will upload your e-board into the course.

Steps for Re-registering a Club

    Email the SAIL Center

    Email Studentact@brooklyn.cuny.edu for an updated, signed constitution.

    Log into Bulldog Connection

    -Navigate to Groups the click on +All Groups

    -Scroll down, search for group you would like to restart and click on Group Re-Registration.

    Fill out the Required information and upload the signed constitution provided by the SAIL Center.

    -Submit re-registration form
